The Carlgary Flames
have burned the Tampa Bay Lightning in yesterday's game. "Lightning doesn't strike twice at the same spot." The saying is partially true, since, the 2 teams have played the game in Calgary for the first time in this Playoffs. The series is now 2-1 in favour of the Flames, thanks to yesterday's 3-0 shut out performance by the home team.

Health Alert
Trans fat is made when manufacturers add hydrogen to vegetable oil - a process called hydrogenation. Consuming one gram of trans fat daily increases the risk of heart disease by 20%. Consumer Reports says a McDonald's medium burger contains five grams of trans fat. The fastfood restaurant chain has promised to reduce the usage of the fat by switching their cooking oil. They said this in 2002, and it's currently 2004 and tests still show that there is not much improvement. The main reason - flavour and taste. The major sources of intake of trans fats are French fries (or the

The best way to avoid this health hazard is by purchasing butter or margarine that is labelled "non-hydrogenated". Better yet, switch to oil! Generally speaking, the more liquid the fat is, the better, with the exceptions of animal fats and coconut fats; animal fats are mostly saturated fats. Also, vegetable fats are in most cases, unsaturated fats. But, beware, peanut is actually a vegetable. You saw right, peanut is NOT a nut; it's a vegetable, and its fat is not all that healthy.
